Days 4 - 7

Day 4: Wednesday

Weight: 214.5

Comments: I'm working from home today, so I took my first Phen375 supplement at 8:00am and had a Muscle Milk whey protein shake around 9:00am. My headache from yesterday has completely gone away, so I may have just been dehydrated. I hit the gym at 11:00am and got about 40 minutes in on the elliptical. I took my second Phen375 supplement when I got back to the house, took a shower, and ate a Greek yogurt around 12:30. My wife had made plans with some friends for us to meet them at Chili's for dinner; though there aren't a lot of options to eat healthy, I ordered chicken fajitas and tried as best I could to stay away from the chips and salsa. Made it to bed around 11pm and slept fine through the night again. My concern that Phen375 would keep me awake at night is gone, but considering the latest I've ever taken a supplement is noon, that's not too surprising.

Day 5: Thursday

Weight: 213

Comments: Woke up at 7:30 and took my first Phen375 pill, followed by half a grapefruit at 8am. Second pill at 12:00, followed by Thai food with some of my coworkers for lunch. I was really surprised to find that I was down to 213 this morning, considering the fact that I not only ate pretty late last night, but that I ate Chili's pretty late last night. Honestly, I expected to get up this morning and see that there had been no weight change at all or that I had put some back on. I don't get much of that 'nervous energy' feeling like I did the first few days, but there are times that my mind feels a little foggy. It comes and goes, but I'm pretty sure it's a side effect of the Phen375. I can physically tell a difference between how I feel in the morning when I first wake up and how I feel after taking the 1st supplement in the morning. It's not a significant difference, but enough to notice. The only thing I can really think to relate to the feeling I'm experiencing is similar to the feeling I get the day after I take NyQuil (but as I said earlier, I am extremely sensitive to any type of medication, especially anything with ephedra/amphetamine). Hit the gym after work for a 25 minute spin on the elliptical and went to meet some family friends and the wife for dinner. I had a tuna steak and vegetables, along with 4 pints of Stella. This was the first time that I have drank while taking Phen375, and had no side effects from it. Made it to bed around 11:30 and woke up at 3:30am. Fell back asleep around 4:30 and slept through the rest of the night.

Day 6: Friday

Weight: 211

Comments: I've found that either spending time working out or consuming a lot more water throughout the day goes a long ways towards preventing a hangover. For whatever reason, so much as 1 or 2 beers usually makes me feel like shit the next morning, but today, nothing to report. Took my first Phen375 at 8:30 on my way in to work (almost forgot about it), and took my second one at 12:00.

Before Phen375, and days 1 - 3 with Phen375

Like I said previously, my friend asked me to help him coach a beginners wrestling team roughly a week and a half ago and I agreed. I thought it was a good opportunity to try to lose some weight without having to just go die on a treadmill in an overpriced gym somewhere. The first day of practice I stepped on the scale used for wrestling weigh-ins and it read exactly 225.5 lbs.

After practice that night, I decided it was time to start making some dietary changes and looking for something to raise my metabolism. I started researching supplements that evening and ordered two bottles of Phen375 the next morning when I got in the office. They had some special on 3 bottles, but I wasn't spending over $200 on something that I was potentially going to throw away if it had crazy side effects or wasn't doing any good. Conversely, I didn't want to order only 1 bottle and be stuck without a second one if it did work. My logic wasn't perfect, but I ordered it anyways.

We wrestled Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday of that week. I ordered the two bottles of Phen375 on Tuesday morning and received an email saying that they had shipped Wednesday morning. I think it was coming from either California or Dallas, TX and I live in Atlanta, GA. The automated email said it would take 3 - 5 business days and would require a signature for the USPS. I left town Thursday night to go out of town with my wife and her family and returned home Sunday afternoon. To my surprise, the package was waiting for me on the porch. I didn't have to sign for it, and it came some time between Thursday and Saturday (since USPS doesn't deliver on Sundays), though I'm not certain which day it actually arrived.

A lot of the information I read online and on their official website said to take 1 supplement in the morning and 1 at noon/lunch; if you missed one just proceed as usual (not to double up). Since it was noon when I got home on Sunday, I went ahead and took 1 supplement at that time. I had a little bit of a hangover from the weekend, but nothing too bad. This is where I'll officially start my Phen375 calendar, since it was the first day that I started taking it (although it was only 1 supplement that day, rather than 2)

***Before reading any further, please be aware that I have always found that I am very sensitive to medications. The caffiene in coffee, soda, and tea doesn't make my heart race, but I can't drink anything caffinated after around 7pm, otherwise I won't be able to get to sleep. I've taken weight loss products in the past that had caffiene, ephedra, etc... and didn't make it longer than 2 days because I felt too jittery and felt like I couldn't focus mentally.**

Day 1: Sunday

Weight: 221.5

(**I had already been at wrestling practice and watching my diet for a week before taking Phen375, which accounts for the 4 lb weight difference between 225.5 and 221.5).

Comments: It may have been the mild hangover, dehydration, or lack of sleep, but after taking 1 pill at noon, I felt a little light-headed and thirsty. My thoughts seemed a little "cloudy" and I became less talkative than usual. By 4:00pm, most of that had subsided and I felt more balanced. I ate a clementine for a snack went to the gym with a friend for 1.5 hours, split between the elliptical and lifting freeweights. I wound up going to bed around 9:30 with no problems after working out. My biggest concern with taking Phen375 was that I would be unable to sleep.

Day 2: Monday

Weight: 218.5

Comments: I took my first supplement at 8am when I got in the car to go to work and drank a bottle of water with it. Though the directions say to take it 20 minutes before a meal, I didn't eat breakfast. I felt mildly light-headed for for first hour, but by 9:00/9:30 that feeling went away. I continued to drink a large glass of water at my desk, refilling it throughout the day. I took my second pill at noon when I got in the car to meet my wife for lunch. Since I ate within half an hour of taking it, I didn't have any negative side effects other than having a supressed appetite. Finding lunch options other than "salad" looks like it's going to be tough, so I got a gyro at a Greek restaurant that we went to. We've given the wrestling team the week off for the upcoming holidays, so after finishing work I headed to the gym and hit the elliptical for 30 minutes. Still sore from weightlifting, I decided that was enough of a work out for the night. I just wanted to do something to burn off extra energy and hopefully boost my metabolism over night. We had chicken with greenbeans for dinner around 7:30pm and went to bed around 9:30pm. Fell asleep very easily but woke up around 6:30am and wasn't able to go back to sleep. I haven't payed any attention to the recommended diet plans on the Phen375 website, other than seeing that they involve eating six small specific meals per day, so I probably won't be following that.

Day 3: Tuesday

Weight: 215.5

I took my 8am supplement with a bottle of water and my 12pm supplement on my way to meet a friend for sushi. I tried to eat more of the fish and less of the rice, but they get bitchy when you leave the rice behind so it was pretty balanced. I ate a significantly smaller amount than usual at a sushi bar, and felt very full. I've had a faint headache throughout the day, but I'm not sure exactly what it's from. I've basically cut drinking anything except water from my diet throughout the week, and plan on still drinking beer and water on the weekend like I did last weekend prior to starting Phen375. I hit the gym again that evening for 40 minutes on the elliptical. I have officially lost 10 lbs since I started eating better, drinking water, and going to the gym/wrestling practice, including 6 lbs in the 3 days since I started taking Phen375. I definitely do not attribute the full 6 lbs that I've lost exclusively to the Phen375, but it works great as an appetite suppressant and the mild dry-mouth keeps me drinking water throughout the day. The "energy" boost feels more like nervous energy than anything else, but I've found it helpful at the gym. The official website says to expect an average of 5 lbs per week, so I expect that the rate of weight loss I've seen so far will taper off.

Phen327 Review Purpose

After trying to do some research online for "Phen375", I had a very difficult time finding any articles/blogs/reviews that seemed unbiased. Most of the stuff I came across had advertisements and hyperlinks to a "buy now" option, and I kept seeing the same 5 or 6 "before and after" pictures posted.

As with any weight-loss/fat burner/dietary supplement, there are a lot of claims that Phen375 (and every competitor) is some kind of miracle drug that produces mindblowing results in with minimal lifestyle changes.

Not only do I not believe it, but considering Phen375 is more expensive than most of the alternatives out there, it seems that it's a more costly gamble without having some honest reviews to be able to check out.

Personally, I don't believe that unbiased reviews should serve as marketing tool with embedded hyperlinks to the company website or offers for purchasing the product. You won't find a link to any other websites here, nor will you find any of the pictures of other people's testimonials. I'm not trying to encourage or discourage anyone to buy something; I'm just trying to provide an objective review of something that I'm using to lose weight. Anyone reading is welcome to leave comments/questions if you'd like, but please don't leave links to any websites or marketing pieces.

To give everyone an idea of my situation when starting this blog (in case you're looking for similarities to your own situation), here's it is...

**I'll be posting pictures as time progresses for before and after shots (including pictures along the way); I feel like pictures do more justice than just words**

My starting stats are: 27 years old, male, 6' 0", 225.5 pounds. I bounce back and forth between a sedentary and moderately active lifestyle. I currently smoke cigarettes and have for the past 10 years, so I'm not much into running or a whole lot of cardio. I played soccer through middle and high school, and from 18 to 23 I weighed somewhere between 180-190 pounds. I never had "six pack" abs, but wasn't overweight either. At 225.5 pounds, I was the heaviest I have ever weighed. When a friend asked to help coach a beginners wrestling team, I agreed and thought it would be a good opportunity to lose weight.

Like many people looking to lose weight, I spend most of my day working in an office sitting at a desk. My mornings typically involve a cigarette, coffee, and either a bagel, donut, or nothing at all. I'm in the office by 8am and don't have any problem skipping breakfast all together. Between the coffee and smoking, my appetite is usually curbed until lunch.

For lunch, I go out with a co-worker or my wife almost daily. I've tried bringing my lunch in the past, but for me, lunchtime is just as much about getting out of the office as it is about grabbing something to eat. I normally order whatever sounds good, without regard for what impact it may have on my weight/health. I'm also a creature of habit, and with a limited number of restaurants around our office complex, I usually order the same things wherever we go. Lunchtime staples include a grilled reuben sandwich, fish tacos, pad thai, a burritto - - I basically order whatever option comes with the side of fries rather than vegetables or salad or whatever. I like fries; that's just the way it is.

My wife is a really awesome person. She usually makes dinner every night and tries to keep it healthy. We both work and both get home around 6pm, so there are times when we're having chicken and vegetables, and times when we're re-heating Hibachi from 2 days ago. She tries really hard to make sure I'm eating at least 1 healthy meal a day, and does a great job. We typically eat dinner around 7:30pm and go to bed around 10:00pm, but depending on what's happening on a given day dinner may be pushed back to 8:30pm or 9:00pm.

During the weekends, I typically snack if there's stuff around and will usually eat when I'm bored. In the spirit of full-disclosure, I also drink on the weekends (usually Coors Light or Busch Light). I've read a lot of stuff where people try to write down everything they eat during the day and keep a calorie tracking log, but I dont have the patience for that. I did download an app for my phone to track my progress losing weight (if I actually wind up losing any) so I can easily see what the timeline is.

My goal isn't to get in to any bodybuilding competitions or to lose weight for health reasons, I just want feel good about my body-image and look good naked.

I plan on making some moderate changes to my eating habits, actively participating in our wrestling practice/excercising 3 times per week, and taking Phen375 to boost my metabolism/burn fat. I'll try to list things that I've been eating as best I can remember, but it's definitely not being documented on a per-item basis.

Additionally, there are some things that I won't be changing. I will still be sitting at a desk in front of a computer 9 hours a day. I'll still be going out to eat for lunch Monday-Friday, and I will still be drinking on the weekends.

I will also be listing the side effects I experience, however, I'm not suggesting that they're from taking Phen375. They may be from dietary changes, increased exercise, or any other external contributing factors that I haven't thought of.

As I write this introduction, I'm currently on day 3 of using Phen375 and trying some of the lifestyle changes. In my next post I'm going to cover my initial experience with Phen375 and the changes, I just didn't think about documenting this before the Phen375 arrived.
